Titans of the Gilded Age: How They Shaped America

This class examines the economic and social context of the Gilded Age through case studies of Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller. It concludes with an analysis of how these titans distributed their vast fortunes and shaped modern philanthropy. 

Andy Marhevsky spent his career in banking, serving as president of four different banks. He was a director of the Atlantic Advanced School of Banking, served on the education committee for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and the Professional Development Council of the American Bankers Association, and helped found two community leadership programs.
