Intro to Nuclear Power Energy

This course presents nuclear fission technology for a non-technical audience. We start with a brief overview of nuclear physics and current reactor concepts, followed by a historical timeline of milestones and events that shaped the industry. We investigate current issues affecting the implementation of new nuclear power generation facilities. The instructor shares references and sources to help participants stay informed and engaged.   

Michael Arcaro recently retired as a consulting engineer with General Electric Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy. He has more than 40 years of experience in nuclear power and engineering, including mechanical and civil design, licensing and system engineering.
