How do birds spark the imagination? How do the arts inform our connections to birds? How does the science of birds figure in artistic representations? Such questions may arise as the class explores Helen Macdonald’s memoir, H Is for Hawk. Bird expert Jill Peleuses helps us understand hawk biology and behavior, while wildlife artists Deb Williams and Sabine Baeckmann share how birds inform their work.
