China's Hydraulics: Past, Present and Future

This course presents significant water projects in China, from the distant past through those being planned for the future. Some are interesting as tourist attractions and others may yet have an impact on a global scale, especially those related to the AI industry. We explore the topic from various perspectives, including engineering, economics, history and general interest.  

Barry Lu holds degrees from China, where he was born and grew up, and the United States. He worked for 30 years in as an engineer in the U.S. Navy and spent 20 years in the civilian engineering sector.
