Journalist Rachel Frazin, author of Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America (2025) speaks about the forever chemical contamination crisis in Wilmington and around the world. Her research on the topic began after the news broke in 2017, that drinking water in and around Wilmington was tainted by decades' worth of toxic substances dumped by a Fayetteville chemical plant. Frazin tells the story of how we got here, what has (and has not) been done to address the issue and what members of our community need to know to protect their health. She is joined by Emily Donovan, co-founder of Clean Cape Fear, who provides an update on current developments that may impact our local water sources.
