UNCW Recycling Coordinator Amelia Woodruff shares how recycling works on campus and in New Hanover County. With dwindling landfill space, waste diversion and reduction are as important as ever. Learn how to recycle right, avoid wish-cycling and reduce your environmental impact. 

Woodruff is a UNCW alumna with a master's degree in coastal and ocean policy and bachelor's degree in marine biology and environmental science. With the help of UNCW’s rockstar recycling team, she facilitates recycling across campus and serves the public with a convenient drop-off site at the recycling depot.
