This course explores the enduring appeal of Our Town, examining its many adaptations over the past 87 years. We also delve into the life of playwright Thornton Wilder and discuss the timeless themes and insights the play offers. Between the two sessions, participants receive a link to view a selected performance intended to enrich our discussion.
Ed Temple spent his career as a lawyer, first as a litigation attorney at a large Wall Street firm, next as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan and, lastly, as an in-house attorney for various large corporations. This is the second time he has shared a passionate interest with the OLLI community; the first was a course on film music from Hollywood’s Golden Age.
