Ron Rash is an award winning poet, novelist and short story writer, inducted into the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame in 2024. He has received critical acclaim for his perceptive portrayal of the people and culture of the Appalachian region, reflective of his western North Carolina roots. Rash joins OLLI to discuss his research methods in writing The New York Times best seller Serena as well as the novel's connection to Elizabethan drama. His talk will be followed by questions from both the instructor and the audience.
