Discover your unique voice and vision through the words and images of others. In this course, we explore collage as a writing practice—finding out what’s possible when language becomes material. We compose, cut, paste and trace using literature in the public domain, found texts, magazines and ephemera, shaping original work through assemblage, accident and intention.
Brinson Leigh Kresge is a writer and interdisciplinary artist whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Assay, 805 Lit + Art, and in mixed-media events in the U.S. and Japan. She holds degrees in English, dance and choreography, an MFA in Creative Writing and has taught at the university level for 14 years.
